Clinique is the offspring of beauty pioneer Estee Lauder. Launched in 1968, the Clinique brand was inspired by a Vogue article that questioned whether beautiful skin could actually be achieved with a specific skincare regime. Clinique was in fact created as a result of this article, which saw US Vogue editor Carol Phillips, Evelyn Lauder (daughter-in-law of Estée), and dermatologist Norman Orentreich MD collaborate to develop a brand that brought dermatological thinking to cosmetics. The title of the Vogue article “Great skin can be created” is still the companies tagline today!

 

With this mind, Clinique is founded on the idea of a 3 step skincare system: cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise, that will indeed achieve great skin. Clinique’s philosophy is really as simple as that! Clinique products are customised to individual needs, from acne prone skin, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, redness, large pores, and hydration. Clinique create skincare and makeup specifically to help dry, very dry, dry combination, and oily skin types.
